About Us
Our Love of Cornmeal
At Hall's Milling Company, we can't imagine a world without cornmeal. Because a world without cornmeal, would be a world without grandmother's corn bread, corn tortillas from you favorite Mexican restaurant, and a world without the Thanksgiving dressing you crave and look forward to each year. We believe that cornmeal and the foods made from it, make meals special.
No, a world without cornmeal isn't a place we would want to live, and that's why we do what we do. Simply put, we want to make life better by delivering the cornmeal we love to you.
History of Hall's Mill
Cornmeal has played an important role in our family for nearly 70 years and we are proud to own a company that places exceptional cornmeal in kitchens within our home state of Alabama, and throughout the country.
Our Founders, the Hall Brothers
In 1952, Roy Hall (left) was the first of the Hall family to enter the milling business when he purchased Spivey's Mill located on Foster Creek in Henry County, Alabama. His brother, Hannon Hall, Sr., (right) joined the business as his partner in 1956 when he returned from serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Continuing the Tradition: The Next Generation of Halls
Jason Hall (left) and Hannon Hall, Jr. (right) inherited the business and continued their family legacy of making high quality cornmeal. Son and father are pictured here in 2004 at Hall's Mill in Henry County, Alabama.
